Baguio Smart City Presentation

One of the most anticipated segments of the event was the Baguio Smart City presentation, which showcased how technology and data-driven solutions are being implemented to improve the city’s infrastructure, traffic management, waste monitoring, and public services.

The presentation demonstrated how AI, IoT (Internet of Things), and cloud-based analytics are being integrated to make Baguio a more efficient, sustainable, and citizen-centered city. Participants were particularly inspired by the case study “Eyes for the Smart City: YOLO and COCO in Action,” which illustrated how machine learning and computer vision can be used for real-time monitoring and urban planning.

This segment perfectly aligned with the event’s mission of leveraging innovation to build smarter communities and highlighted how Baguio continues to lead the way in regional digital transformation.

Powered by PC Express

A major highlight of this year’s DevFest was the strong partnership and sponsorship of PC Express, one of the country’s leading tech retailers. Their presence brought an extra spark of excitement to the event, featuring live product auctions, special tech deals, and generous giveaways that thrilled the attendees.

Lucky participants went home with PC peripherals, accessories, and exclusive merchandise, adding a fun and rewarding twist to the already jam-packed day of learning and innovation. The raffle and auction sessions not only kept the audience engaged but also showcased PC Express’s continuous support for the growing local developer community.

Women Techmakers and Inclusion

Another inspiring part of DevFest Baguio 2025 was the Women Techmakers (WTM) segment, which emphasized diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. Speakers encouraged aspiring female developers to pursue leadership roles and break barriers in STEM. The WTM session reminded everyone that innovation thrives in communities that value equality and collaboration.
