In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s push for inclusive digital transformation, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is set to lead the country in celebrating National ICT Month this June 2025, under the theme: “Walang Iwanan sa Digital Bayanihan.”

Declared under Proclamation No. 1521, s. 2008, and supported by Republic Act No. 10844, the annual observance highlights the government’s commitment to closing the digital divide and ensuring that all Filipinos—regardless of location or status—have access to technology and digital opportunities.

A Nationwide Call for Digital Inclusion

The 2025 theme calls for collective effort to build a digitally inclusive and resilient Philippines. “Digital Bayanihan” symbolizes collaboration among citizens, government, and the private sector to ensure no Filipino is left offline or behind.

DICT Secretary Henry Aguda emphasized that every Filipino has a role to play in the country’s digital journey:

“Through Digital Bayanihan, we affirm that no Filipino will be left behind. Every agency, LGU, and citizen is part of this future-ready Bagong Pilipinas.”

Undersecretary Faye Condez - De Sagon, Chairperson of the NICT Month Steering Committee, also highlighted the inclusive nature of the celebration:

“National ICT Month is about empowerment and collaboration. It’s a time for all sectors to work together so that every Filipino can benefit from digital transformation.”

Key Events Across the Country

NICT Month 2025 will feature major events held in various regions to emphasize national reach and inclusive access:

📍 Basco, Batanes (June 5–6) – Launch of the celebration and reaffirmation of DICT’s goal to create 8 million digital jobs by 2028.
📍 Tawi-Tawi (June 10–11) – Push for nationwide connectivity through satellite broadband and community Wi-Fi.
📍 Dumaguete City (June 17–18) – Spotlight on ICT support for MSMEs and grassroots digital innovation.
📍 Valenzuela City (June 30) – Culmination event with the signing of an MOU to establish a major ICT hub as part of the “Silicon Valenzuela” initiative.

A Call to Participate

The DICT encourages government agencies, local government units, academic institutions, private companies, NGOs, and civil society to organize and join activities aligned with the theme. These may include:
